Journal of Medical Education and Practice (JMEP) is the official journal of the medical education for health profession branch of the Egyptian Medical Association. This branch of the Egyptian Medical Association was founded in 2023. It is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that aims to promote and disseminate high-quality research and innovation in health profession education within the Eastern Mediterranean region. The journal covers topics such as curriculum development, teaching and learning methods, assessment and evaluation, faculty development, accreditation and quality improvement, educational leadership and management, and interprofessional education. The journal also welcomes submissions that explore the impact of culture, diversity, and social accountability on medical education. The journal welcomes original research articles, systematic reviews, scoping reviews, meta-analyses, case studies, best practices, perspectives, editorials, letters to the editor, communication, and brief reports that address the challenges and opportunities of health profession education in the region and internationally. The journal is committed to fostering collaboration and exchange among health profession educators, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers across the region and beyond.
